The Earth Sky Project is the transformation of PARI (Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute) – from a remote research center into a one of a kind education and recreation project immersed in the exploration of earth and space sciences. Born as a US space flight tracking station carved into 3 million acres of Pisgah National Forest, the Earth Sky Project will be a place for people from all walks of life to experience something extraordinary, even otherworldly. The Earth Sky Project will be a new future for PARI – converting a collection of former NASA flight control and research structures into a futuristic science adventure camp, conference center and cultural tourist attraction.
